One Day Plot Summary
This One Day Story was finally adapted in a way that truly captures the spirit of the book and, in some ways, surpasses it. I read One Day After Graduation many years ago and was really moved by the story. The movie was good but didn’t do the story justice for me. Who knows what I really want (and need) is this limited series format. It was done beautifully. It represents the spirit of love, life, suffering, enthusiasm and the challenges of life. I watched this in 3 days, but if I wasn’t working full time I would have finished it in one day. That being said, I think it’s best to watch it in parts because this show captures the different chapters of life and how they intertwine to make one’s life so beautiful. I can imagine it would be even more intense if I watched it in one day. Watching One Day reminded me that life can be heartbreaking, beautiful, interesting, exciting, scary, but most of all wonderful and adventurous, especially if you’re willing to take risks when it comes to love.About how Dexter and Emma finally meet on the penultimate day of college, right before graduation, and have a significant impact on each other’s lives indefinitely – falling in love through the years as friends, almost away, going through different chapters of life, growing up and trying to understand life and its purpose… Along with finding its function (in layman’s terms: a suitable job for me), I think we all know that love is the most important thing that gives meaning to our lives – and this love appears in many forms – whether it is family love, romantic or friendly. There were so many moments that touched me while watching this show. I went through an emotional roller coaster and I have empty tissue boxes as proof! The performances from the main actors playing Emma and Dexter are fantastic, and the supporting cast are great too – special thanks to the actors playing Dexter’s father and mother, Tilly, Ian and Sylvie. Indeed, the entire cast is excellent and the series captures life’s important moments through the lens of a single day – because in reality, , everything in our lives happens just for a day, like everything we have today, some days can be monotonous. . and some can have positive or negative connotations. The series will take you on an existential journey – it certainly took me on one.I will also get my book back to read (or buy it again if I lost my copy). Thanks for this wonderful show…I will definitely watch it again, but only if I’m ready to ride the emotional roller coaster again.
