The Regime
The story of one year within the walls of the palace of a modern European regime as it begins to unravel.
Based on the first episode, I’m thoroughly enjoying it and looking forward to the rest of the series. Some critics said it wasn’t funny. I guess it depends on one’s sense of humor. There are many levels and types of humor. The mode certainly isn’t fun, and I don’t know why anyone was expecting it based on the trailers. Our main character is a very odd and eccentric woman who believes she is right in everything she does but suffers from stereotypical paranoia. Yes, me too, although not at his level. In this episode, we learn that her father died of lung disease, so it stands to reason that she would be scared and to the extent that she is, it’s funny. Kate Winslet performs a lot and she gets better every time I watch her. In The Regine, she has the ability to create sympathy by simply defeating one of her collaborators. This is crazy !
