During a research mission, an astronaut discovers that his marriage is in trouble. Luckily, he has the help of a mysterious creature hidden in his ship.
Synopsis:
An intergalactic odyssey full of love, ambition and self-discovery. Jakub Procházka was orphaned as a child and grew up in the Czech countryside with his loving grandparents. He developed from a small scientist to the country’s first astronaut. When a dangerous solo mission to Jupiter offers him the opportunity both to realize the heroism he had dreamed of and to atone for his father’s sins as a communist informant, he boldly ventures into the vast unknown. But in doing so he leaves behind his devoted wife Lenka, whose love he has, as he realizes too late, sacrificed on the altar of his ambitions. Alone in space, Jakub discovers a possibly imaginary giant alien spider that becomes his unlikely companion.Through philosophical conversations about the nature of love, life and death, and the deliciousness of hazelnut spread, the couple develops an intense and emotional bond.
