The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 is a romantic-fantasy film directed by Bill Condon, based on the novel of the same name by Stephenie Meyer.
The beginning of Breaking Dawn – Part 1 details Bella and Edward’s wedding and honeymoon, which took place on a private island off the coast of Brazil. During the two weeks of their honeymoon, Bella realized she was pregnant and that the pregnancy was growing at an unusually fast rate. After contacting Carlisle and having him confirm her symptoms as being pregnant, she and Edward immediately returned home to Forks, Washington. Edward, concerned for Bella’s life and convinced that the fetus was a monster as it developed unnaturally fast, urged her to abort the pregnancy. However, Bella feels attached to the child and refuses to have an abortion.
Jacob’s Quileute werewolves, unable to foresee the dangers the unborn child could pose, plan to destroy him, even if they have to kill Bella to achieve their goal. Jacob strongly opposed this decision and left the pack, forming a separate pack with Leah and Seth Clearwater. Bella soon gave birth to the baby, but the baby repeatedly broke her bones and caused her to lose a lot of blood. To save Bella’s life, Edward transformed her into a vampire by injecting his venom into Bella’s heart. Jacob, who was present when Bella gave birth, almost immediately “bonds”—an involuntary reaction when a werewolf found his mate—to Edward and Bella’s newborn baby girl, Renesmee.
